Aston Martin Cygnet on display at Harrod's
Okay, sing it with me now, "Hooooow much is that Cygnet in the window..." Aston Martin has placed one of the first Cygnet city cars in the window at London's Harrods Department Store. With increasingly stiff fuel economy and CO2 requirements, automakers are producing smaller vehicles to meet the more stringent regs. With its existing large luxury and high-performance vehicle line-up, Aston Martin needs a car that will sell in larger numbers with excellent fuel economy to increase their average corporate economy numbers. Based on the Toyota iQ, the new Cygnet is assembled at Aston Martin's Gaydon headquarters with fitments befitting an Aston Martin. In other words, the little swan will not be cheap. The Cygnet is available now through Aston Martin's European dealer network, but no word yet on whether the Cygnet will be making the trip "across the pond."
